Le Groupe Lyceum/The Lyceum Group is a private New Brunswick Canada based consulting company and CDO (Community Development Organization). It provides consulting services, implementation, and project management in the fields of health care, health care research, biological diversity sciences, education (primary, secondary and tertiary), and social value services in West Africa (Mali, Guinea and Liberia). The group functions as an international collective that brings together an array of knowledge workers working together as a collective, and applies their specialty skill sets to a common end product. The management of the company balances three dimensions of the group of associates; as an economic organization, as a human organization, and as an increasingly important social organization. Head-quartered in the eastern Canadian province of New Brunswick, Lyceum has completed services to over thirty organizations and companies and has built a well-developed network of academic and business affiliations in Canada, the United States, Europe, and Africa.

Objectives for 2007:

• Advance the CDO (Community Development Organization) in the village of Fotoba to become a model for adoption in at least two other rural villages in Guinea.
• Continue to build the infrastructure and legal entity for Le Groupe Lyceum in Guinea.
• Expand activities into Mali and Liberia.
• Manage at least two CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) projects in West Africa.
• Establish a West Africa Education Consortium.
• Play a key role at eLearning Africa conference in May in Nairobi.

Mentor and assist at least five deserving graduate and doctoral students whose studies and focus are rural community development in West Africa.
